Brief History of Dental Hygiene:

There is scientific evidence that proves humans took care of their teeth as early as 500 BC. The use of dental hygiene products weren't as modern as they are now but during the past, people used their resources in order to keep good oral health. In 4000 BC, the Hindus of India were the first known to use, what we now know as a toothbrush. They would use a fresh twig and would fray in into fibers. In 3500 BC, the Babylonians named their toothbrush a "chewing stick." Some would brush their teeth with just plain drinking water, water from wells and even bath water. But others who had access would use toothpaste. Toothpaste has been around before the toothbrush, dating back to 500 BC.
